I've always enjoyed feeding my curiosity when it comes to designing and developing websites. As my passion for UX Design and Front-End Web Development continues to grow, I decided to create my own website from scratch as an opportunity to share my journey and experiences as I work towards my goals. I'm always looking for new ways to step outside of my comfort zone and keep my skillset fresh. Some examples of this include: reading industry articles and blogs, taking online courses, networking, and looking to the latest trends for inspiration and guidance.
I like to divide my web projects into four areas: research, wireframing, design, and development. This process allows me to craft beautiful user interfaces and design amazing user experiences that will reach goals and make a difference at all levels.
When I'm not focused on design/development, I've become somewhat of a coffee enthusiast and find myself always wanting to discover new coffee brands and new coffee shops. I also enjoy walking, traveling, listening to music, playing guitar, and most of all I love spending time with my wife! We are in the process of trying to buy our first home and hope 2025 will be our year!
In 2024, I successfully completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate program. This program included over 200 hours of instruction and hundreds of practice-based activities and assessments that simulated real-world UX design scenarios. The content was highly interactive and developed by Google employees with decades of experience in UX design.
As part of the Google UX Design Professional Certification Program, we were asked to select a prompt for developing an app that positions ourselves as a user while learning to think about design. The prompt I selected was "Design a mobile-ordering app for a local bakery".
